On the afternoon of January 9, the 6th Conference of the Executive Committee of the 14th Binh Dinh Provincial Federation of Labor summarized union activities in 2024 and deployed the key work program for 2025.
According to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, thanks to closely following the work program of the Executive Committee, the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the local practical situation, the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers (CNVCLD) and trade union activities of the province achieved many outstanding results:
The work of participating in management, caring for the lives, protecting the legal and legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers (WLCs) was promoted. The Union provided legal advice and support in 272 cases, helping 88 workers receive nearly 1.5 billion VND in wages and unemployment benefits; visited and presented gifts to 132,664 WLCs in difficult circumstances with a total amount of more than 50 billion VND; organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Chia Chia", visited and wished union members and businesses a Happy New Year; supported the construction and repair of 14 WLCs with a total amount of 605 million VND.
During the year, the trade unions at all levels mobilized 31 enterprises to increase the value of shift meals from 18,000 VND to 35,000 VND/person/meal. There were 13 more units providing shift meals, bringing the total number of enterprises providing shift meals to 310 units; 106 Union Meals were organized for 15,424 Vietnamese workers, with a total implementation cost of nearly 724 million VND.
The patriotic emulation movement in the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor was widely deployed, especially in two peak periods to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, focusing on the movements of "Good Labor, Creative Labor", linking patriotic emulation with the implementation of socio-economic development tasks and job stabilization. The whole province has 34 scientific research topics registered by 27 authors, of which 14 topics and 13 authors were awarded the Certificate of Creative Labor by the General Confederation of Labor.
Propaganda and education work has many practical innovations. Trade unions at all levels have focused on implementing and thoroughly grasping the Resolution of the 14th Congress of Binh Dinh Provincial Trade Union, the Resolution of the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, term 2023 - 2028, Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation"... with 92,134 turns of Vietnamese labor union members participating.
In 2024, Binh Dinh will establish 113 new grassroots trade unions, admit 11,146 new union members (an actual increase of 7,104 union members), bringing the total number of grassroots trade unions to 1,673 units with 94,841 union members/107,999 employees.
The conference discussed and approved the 2025 work program with the following main targets: Developing an additional 17,800 union members, establishing grassroots unions in 100% of enterprises with 20 or more employees; participating in promoting the rate of 65% of employees in enterprises to study and improve their professional qualifications and skills; 100% of grassroots unions in the administrative sector, public service sector, state-owned enterprises and at least 85% of grassroots unions in enterprises and non-state-owned units participating with employers in promulgating and implementing grassroots democracy regulations...
At the conference, the authorized leader of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission awarded the Medal for Mass Mobilization to Vice Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial Labor Federation Le Tu Binh; Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation Ha Duy Trung awarded the Creative Labor Certificate to 13 individuals; Binh Dinh Labor Federation awarded excellent emulation flags to 6 units, and awarded certificates of merit to 112 collectives and 203 individuals.
