Binh Duong needs to recruit 70,000 - 80,000 workers in 2025

In Binh Duong, businesses have more orders to expand production while many foreign investors continue to come to invest. These are two driving forces that continue to create tens of thousands of new jobs for workers.

Need to recruit 70,000 - 80,000 workers

Recently, the labor market in Binh Duong province has shown signs of improvement. Industries such as textiles, wood, leather and footwear... have signed many orders, boosted production, and recruited workers again. Along with that, Binh Duong province continues to attract more than dozens of FDI projects with a total investment capital of over 2 billion USD. Many projects have immediately implemented investment, building factories to recruit workers for production. In addition, many domestic enterprises have also come to Binh Duong to build factories...

The above factors have increased the demand for labor recruitment in Binh Duong. The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Duong province said that nearly 7,300 enterprises in the province have recruitment needs (an increase of 151% compared to the same period in 2023), with the number of up to 80,000 workers (an increase of 75% compared to the same period in 2023).

By early 2025, many businesses have a need to recruit workers early. Mr. Pham Van Tuyen - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) of Binh Duong province - said that through review and forecast this year, businesses will need to recruit from 70,000 to 80,000 workers, mainly unskilled workers and skilled workers accounting for 75%.

The labor force mainly supplements the labor shortage after Tet. In addition, the situation of workers "job hopping" and changing jobs to find a new environment and salary will also make the recruitment market more vibrant at the end of the first quarter of 2025. Job positions for workers with professional and technical qualifications such as: Planning, QA, QC, electrical and mechanical maintenance, accounting, human resources, office staff, machine operation...

Worry about difficulty recruiting workers

The demand for labor recruitment in Binh Duong is very high, however, the labor force looking for work is small. Therefore, the labor source is scarcer, and it is more difficult for businesses to recruit workers.

According to records, to have a source of production labor, before Tet At Ty, businesses in Binh Duong have planned to recruit. Businesses have posted labor recruitment signs before Tet. Currently, they post recruitment information on the business information page; contact the authorities for support in finding labor sources.

Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. has two factories in Binh Duong that need to recruit hundreds of workers. The company regularly hangs recruitment signs at the company gate. Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung - Chairman of the company's Trade Union - said that the two factories are in need of recruiting 300 workers, and recruitment is taking place regularly.

To have enough labor for production, companies have to cooperate with suppliers, but it is also difficult to find labor sources. Enterprises have to go to the Central Highlands provinces and the North to find labor sources, but can recruit very few.

Even labor supply companies are having difficulty finding workers to supply to manufacturing companies. Mr. Tran Ngoc Luong - Director of Duc Luong Labor Supply Company Limited - shared: “Currently, industrial production in Binh Duong is recovering positively. However, manufacturing companies are having a hard time recruiting workers. Labor supply companies are also having difficulty recruiting workers. Because it is early in the year, there are not many workers returning to Binh Duong. I am worried that it will be difficult to recruit workers like last year.”

Building app and website "Southern Jobs"

The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Duong province said that in order to support businesses and connect workers to find jobs, in the first months of 2025, the department will direct the Binh Duong Provincial Employment Service Center to increase the reception of recruitment information from businesses in the province through media channels and businesses... "Promote job counseling and referrals for workers, connect suitable jobs according to job search needs. Continue to open direct and online job transaction sessions. This will be a favorable opportunity for recruiting businesses and job seekers," said Mr. Pham Van Tuyen.

According to Mr. Pham Van Tuyen, Binh Duong Employment Service Center is currently coordinating with provinces to build the app and web app "Southern Jobs". This is to connect jobs for the whole region, helping the regional labor market to be more flexible and effective.
