Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan (36 years old) - leader of Tuan Duyen Garment Company Limited (Nam Dinh) said that the company has implemented an attractive bonus policy in January to compete with other businesses in the region.
“In January, all new workers, even those without skills, will receive a bonus of 300,000 VND. Old workers returning to work or new skilled workers will receive a bonus of 1 million VND,” said Mr. Tuan.
According to the business owner, without a separate policy to compete, it will be very difficult to attract workers.
While other businesses focus on salary and benefits, Mr. Tuan chose to give a bonus at the beginning of the year, and also give a bonus right after the employee works for a full week to make a difference.
"This is the second year I have implemented this program. Last year, I recruited 16 workers, so this year I will continue to do it, hoping for better results," said Mr. Tuan.
According to Mr. Tuan, the company has received orders until mid-2025. The goal is to recruit at least 20 more workers each month. If we have to compensate for the workers who quit every month, we will need at least 30 people to keep up with production.
Similarly, Pro Sports Nghi Xuan Company (Ha Tinh) has also implemented attractive policies to attract workers to work in early 2025.
Accordingly, if workers register for interviews and work by themselves (without referral), they will be rewarded 2 million VND. Workers without sewing skills who register for work will also be rewarded 1 million VND. Other positions that are not workers will also be rewarded 1 million VND.
In particular, former employees who return to work at the company will receive a bonus of 2 million VND. The bonus policy will be applied from January 2, 2025 to February 14, 2025.
At the beginning of the new year, Song Hong Xuan Truong Garment Joint Stock Company (Nam Dinh) still applies the reward program for new skilled workers and old workers returning to work.
For skilled garment workers, returning workers will receive a bonus of VND8 million divided equally over 4 months of work. The company has not announced a temporary suspension period for this policy in order to recruit long-term workers for new facilities.
Kiara Garments Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Nam Dinh) also announced a 9.4% increase in basic salary for new employees (from VND 4,662,000 to VND 5,100,690).
Not only that, the company also rewards workers with 200,000 VND/month when they work full-time, and supports many attractive allowances for workers who come from far away to work.
Ms. Pham Thi Huong (39 years old, Nam Dinh) shared that she is in the process of researching companies to decide where to work. Among them, Kiara Garments Vietnam is the company that impressed her and she intends to stay with in 2025.
“I like to work in places with high basic salaries even though I am paid based on output. Because high basic salaries help me feel more secure about the insurance benefits I will receive in the future, especially pensions or sick leave,” said Ms. Huong.
