Union activities have spread to enterprises without grassroots unions
In Binh Phuoc, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks (IPs) of Binh Phuoc province is one of the leading units in caring for and protecting the rights of workers. From the beginning of 2025 to now, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of the province, together with grassroots trade unions (CDCS), has supported about 15,000 workers with a total value of more than 10 billion VND.
Caring activities have helped many union members overcome difficulties, stay with businesses, and actively participate in production and economic development. The activities of trade unions have spread to enterprises in industrial parks that do not have grassroots trade unions. Recently, it has been propagandized that many businesses have proactively coordinated to establish grassroots unions. Workers are also excited to submit applications to join the Trade Union.
According to Mr. Tran Ba Loi - Chairman of the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union, in the first months of the year, the unit established 8 grassroots trade unions. In many enterprises that already have grassroots unions, new employees also proactively join the union. The total number of newly admitted union members in the first 6 months of the year of the unit is 3,191 union members.
Mr. Nguyen Van Sang - Vice Chairman of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Federation of Labor - said that in the first 6 months of 2025, trade unions at all levels in the province admitted 6,041 new union members and established 36 grassroots unions. Compared to the beginning of 2025, the actual increase is 5,664 union members. Currently, the whole province has 131,149 union members and 1,337 grassroots union units. Of which, there are 794 grassroots unions in the State sector and 543 grassroots unions in the non-State sector.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Sang, the above results are thanks to strong direction and fundamental solutions, suitable to the actual situation. This has changed awareness, attracted the attention and participation of Party committees, authorities at all levels, and the coordination of sectors and enterprises. Trade unions at all levels in the province are continuing to make efforts, be active, proactive, focus resources, synchronously deploy tasks and solutions to develop party members and establish grassroots trade unions.
Workers in difficulty receive care and support
In enterprises with trade unions in Binh Phuoc, workers enjoy many care and support activities. A typical example is in Freewell Company Limited (Bac Dong Phu Industrial Park, Binh Phuoc Province). This is one of the enterprises with the largest number of union members in Binh Phuoc province. The company's Trade Union regularly organizes activities to care for the spiritual life of workers. In March 2025, the Trade Union proposed and coordinated with the Company's Board of Directors to award 919 24K gold bars to thank 917 workers and laborers attached to the enterprise.
In May 2025, the Freewell Company Limited Trade Union supported 1 union member with a serious illness with 10 million VND, 2 union members in especially difficult circumstances were supported with 5 million VND each, and 70 other union members were supported with 1 million VND each.
Meanwhile, at New Apparel Far Eastern Company (Bac Dong Phu Industrial Park, Tan Phu Town, Binh Phuoc Province), the Trade Union also has many activities to care for workers. Newly employed workers are propagandized and encouraged by the Trade Union to join the Trade Union. After workers join the union, the groups will regularly grasp their aspirations and lives. Union members who are unfortunate and in especially difficult circumstances are supported by the grassroots union, or are mobilized to donate large sums of money.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Chi - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of New Apparel Far Eastern Company - said that the unit has recently supported 2 union members in especially difficult circumstances. Of which, union member N.T.G - working in a garment team with nasopharyngeal cancer was supported with 6 million VND by the Trade Union.
The Trade Union mobilized support for the family of Ms. L.T.T - a goods coordinator at the Cutting Workshop with an amount of nearly 92 million VND. Ms. L.T.T shared that in mid-April 2025, a tragedy fell on her family when her husband and youngest daughter were on their way to the company to pick her up after work when they suddenly had a serious traffic accident. Her husband was seriously injured, his family was in difficulty, and could not afford to pay for the hospital fees for a long time. "The large amount of money mobilized by the Trade Union from colleagues and the company has helped my family have funds to cover the difficult time. I am truly grateful to the union and my colleagues - Ms. L.T.T shared.
