The training conference organized by the Vietnam Forestry Corporation Trade Union took place at the General Confederation Guest House in Da Lat (Lam Dong province), with the participation of more than 60 union officials from 13 grassroots trade unions in the Southern region.
At the conference, the reporters introduced new legal regulations related to trade union organizations, union members and workers, including the Law on Social Insurance (amended) 2024, the Law on Trade Unions (amended) 2024, along with the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Law on Trade Unions, the Law on Youth, the Law on Grassroots Democracy.
The representative of the Vietnam Agricultural and Environment Trade Union also gave specific instructions on the organization of grassroots trade union congresses for the 2025-2030 term.
The conference spent a lot of time discussing, exchanging and answering problems in trade union activities, especially in personnel work, document development, funding and organizing congresses.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Tran Thuy Nguyet - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Forestry Corporation Trade Union affirmed that the training course has many practical contents, helping grassroots trade union officials to foster legal knowledge, improve skills and expertise to effectively perform their role of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
In the face of requirements and tasks in the new situation, grassroots union officials must be knowledgeable about the law, professional and skills to meet the increasingly high expectations of union members and workers, Ms. Nguyet emphasized.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Forestry Corporation Trade Union held a meeting to evaluate the results of trade union activities in the third quarter and deploy tasks for the fourth quarter of 2025.
The Vietnam Forestry Corporation Trade Union also awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag of the Vietnam Agriculture and Environment Trade Union to 3 grassroots trade unions, rewarding 56 typical advanced examples in the patriotic emulation movement and 33 individuals "Good at public work, good at home work" in the period of 2020 - 2025.
