On the morning of October 20, the atmosphere at Tuy Phong Garment Factory (Lien Huong Commune, Lam Dong Province) was more bustling than usual. The sewing lines are brightly decorated, the sound of laughter echoes throughout the workshop.
Ms. Hoang Kim Loan, a 25, excitedly shared: "Today's workshop is much happier and warmer. Right at the beginning of the work shift, union officials and men went to the scene to present flowers and send congratulations to each sister. Everyone was quite surprised but very happy and touched.
Mr. Nguyen Dan Huy, a 28th setter, said that the working atmosphere was very happy, the seams were decorated with roses, balloons and good wishes.
"Our male students were assigned to work with union officials to give flowers to the women. Starting today's working day was fun and full of energy. Everyone is excited to be able to send congratulations to the sisters on this meaningful day, Mr. Huy shared more.
Mr. Nguyen Hoa - Chairman of the Tuy Phong Garment Factory Trade Union - said that the unit currently has more than 2,200 employees. Of which, 2,050 are female workers.
In recent times, the union has always strived to take better care of the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers.
According to Mr. Hoa, on the occasion of the Vietnamese Women's Day on October 20, the unit organized folk games, creating a useful playground for union members and workers.
Especially on October 20, the union presented flowers to all female union members and workers; at the same time, organized a "Union Meal" worth 55,000 VND/meal to show gratitude.
"We coordinate with the factory's Board of Directors to organize practical activities, aiming to care for and improve the lives of union members and workers; hoping that everyone will have a joyful working environment, more attached to the factory and the trade union organization", Mr. Hoa shared.
