On August 15, a delegation of trainees of the key Trade Union official training class led by Comrade Le Van Nghia, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, visited and exchanged practical experiences at Cayi Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Cayi Technology Company), Yen Phong II-C Industrial Park, Yen Phong commune, Bac Ninh.
Welcoming the delegation and attending the program were Mr. Tran Huy Phuong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; representatives of leaders of the Provincial Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, Provincial Labor Federation.
Cayi Technology Company was established in 2023 with the goal of producing stainless steel heat-retaining cups and plastic cups, with a total capacity of 60 million products/year.
Currently, the Company has nearly 1,952 officials and workers, of which women account for 49%. The grassroots trade union has 1,952 union members, reaching a rate of 100%.
At the working session, the working delegation learned about the production situation, employment, income, regimes, policies and activities to care for the lives of workers at enterprises.
According to reports, the average income of employees reaches from 14-18 million VND/person/month. The company supports a main meal of 25,000 VND and an extra meal of 18,000 VND; and at the same time implements monthly welfare policies with a value of about 250,000-300,000 VND/person.
Notably, the grassroots trade union has coordinated with businesses to sign collective labor agreements with many clauses that are more beneficial than the provisions of law.
Basic salary is 6 million VND/month, 36% higher than the regional minimum wage; overtime allowance for night shifts is 10,000 VND/hour, higher than the regulated level.
Along with that, the enterprise implements many forms of commendation and encouragement for employees; organizes monthly reviews of excellent employees and managers; supports lunch meals and maintains welfare activities, visits, and gifts on holidays, Tet, birthdays, sickness, and weddings... On average, each union member receives care from 3-3.5 million VND/year.
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Le Van Nghia, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, respectfully thanked the attention, coordination and careful preparation of the leaders of Bac Ninh province, the Provincial Labor Federation, the Company's Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union, creating conditions for the delegation to have the opportunity to visit and exchange practical experiences.
Mr. Le Van Nghia emphasized that the practical exchange program aims to help key Trade Union officials directly learn about Trade Union activities at enterprises, exchange ways and experiences in performing the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; thereby linking the knowledge equipped in the training class with practical activities.
Appreciating the efforts of the Company's Board of Directors in maintaining production, creating jobs, ensuring income and taking care of workers' lives, Mr. Le Van Nghia said that this is not only the responsibility of employers but also an important factor in building harmonious, stable, progressive labor relations, creating a foundation for the sustainable development of the enterprise.
For grassroots trade unions, the comrade proposed to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation in the direction of being close to union members, workers and business practices; proactively grasp thoughts and aspirations, and promptly coordinate to solve problems arising in labor relations right from the grassroots level.
Trade unions need to promote their representative role, protect the rights of workers, and at the same time become reliable partners, accompanying businesses.
The comrade also requested businesses to continue to create conditions for grassroots trade unions to operate effectively, pay more attention to employment, income, regimes, policies, food safety and hygiene, quality of meals, labor protection and the rights of female workers.
On this occasion, the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation presented 100 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances and typical union members and workers in labor, production, with initiatives and technical improvements of Cayi Technology Vietnam Company.
Also on August 15, the delegation came to offer incense and flowers to commemorate comrade Hoang Quoc Viet in Vu Ninh ward.
Here, the working delegation presented 20 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances in 4 wards: Kinh Bac, Vu Ninh, Nam Son, Hap Linh, contributing to encouraging union members and workers to overcome difficulties, continue to emulate good labor, creative labor, and contribute to the development of businesses and localities.
