According to Mr. Dinh Sy Phuc, the success of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress will open a new stage of development, helping the country rise strongly in the era of integration and development. At the same time, the Trade Union needs to pay more attention to improving professional skills and digital skills for workers, helping workers adapt to the digital transformation, automation and new requirements of the labor market. Trade Union activities need to continue to strongly focus on grassroots levels, taking workers as the center, practically caring for material, spiritual and cultural life, so that each union member can feel the companionship, sharing and protection from the Trade Union organization.
TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Tran Bien Ward, Dong Nai City) has about 35,000 workers, of which a large number of migrant workers are living in boarding houses. Mr. Phuc hopes that the Trade Union, businesses and localities will join hands to build houses for workers to have stable accommodation to "settle down and work". In the immediate future, the Trade Union of TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company is focusing on building "Trade Union Shelter" charity houses for union members and workers and providing monthly allowances for workers.
Ms. Vu Thi Duyen, a worker at TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company, expects the trade union in the next term to pay attention to building more social housing for rent near industrial parks with many workers living. According to Ms. Duyen, currently many workers in Dong Nai city are migrant workers, who are renting rooms in boarding houses. Over the past time, the city has paid attention to building many social housing areas for workers and other subjects. However, owning a social housing is still far beyond the income capacity of workers (about 10-12 million VND/month) - an income level that is only enough to cover family living expenses. Therefore, Ms. Duyen wishes to have more policies to build social housing areas for workers to rent.
2025 statistics from the Department of Construction of Dong Nai City show that the total housing demand is about 600,000-650,000 people, equivalent to about 150,000-160,000 social housing units. Of which, about 70% is the demand of workers and laborers working in concentrated industrial zones and clusters; the rest is the group of freelancers, civil servants and other low-income people.
