The organizations all expressed their expectations for the policies and resolutions set out at the Congress and believe that this Congress will be a new step forward for the Vietnam Trade Union in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
As a world Trade Union organization representing more than 110 million members of 217 trade union organizations from 133 countries and territories, including the Vietnam Trade Union organization, the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) and member international industry trade union organizations, sending warm greetings of solidarity and sincere congratulations to all delegates attending the Congress.
WFTU emphasized its admiration and gratitude to the people and workers of Vietnam - who have gained freedom and independence through resilient and arduous struggles, thereby inspiring and supporting the struggles of many other nations in the world. WFTU highly appreciates the Vietnam Trade Union - a steadfast and extremely valuable member of WFTU with 8 decades of companionship in the common struggle for the rights of workers and social progress.
In harmony with that spirit, international industry trade unions that are members of WFTU including the International Union of Agriculture and Forestry (UIS TAACT), the International Union of Construction, Building Materials and Timber (UITBB) and the International Union of Road Transport, Ports, Fisheries and Communications (TUI Transport) sent warm greetings to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and delegates attending the Congress.
The organizations highly appreciated the efforts of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers in Vietnam, saying that "these results demonstrate a strong trade union movement with a spirit of drastic struggle, inspiring workers in the Asia-Pacific region as well as around the world". At the same time, they affirmed their appreciation for the contributions of the Vietnam Trade Union in the international industry trade union movement and expressed their desire to strengthen cooperative relations with the Vietnam Trade Union organization, expand joint activities to protect workers' rights.
At the regional level, the ASEAN Trade Union Council (ASEAN TUC) and the Philippine Trade Union Congress (TUCP) sent to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor warm greetings and strong solidarity on the occasion of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress; acknowledged and highly appreciated the important achievements that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has achieved in promoting workers' rights, strengthening social dialogue and promoting inclusive and sustainable development in the context of rapidly changing world situations in the past 3 years. At the same time, ASEAN TUC and TUCP affirmed that they will always stand side by side with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and wish to continue to cooperate to build a stronger and more united trade union movement in ASEAN and around the world.
On the side of bilateral partners, the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Cambodia (NACC) wished the Congress great achievements, gained absolute trust from the people and workers of Vietnam and committed to "continuing to support the solidarity relationship between the two organizations as good brothers with deep sympathy, as good friends with sincerity and as good partners with mutual support".
The Singapore National Trade Union Congress (NTUC) highly appreciated the important achievements that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has achieved for workers nationwide: Expanding the coverage of collective bargaining to more than 80% of enterprises with trade union organizations; developing more than 2.2 million new union members; maintaining concern and care for the rights and welfare of female workers; as well as promoting initiatives from the grassroots level to bring practical value to workers and the community. “These achievements reflect the dedication and persistent spirit of the team of officials and trade union members at all levels, while affirming that a strong and substantively representative trade union organization still plays an indispensable role in promoting a better life for workers and the nation's inclusive development”.
The Federation of Belarusian Trade Unions (FTUB) highly appreciates the consistent and principled stance of the Vietnam Trade Union in consolidating the social protection system for workers and developing social partnership mechanisms. FTUB believes that the XIV Congress will pass harmonious and far-sighted policies that bring positive impacts on the lives and welfare of workers.
