Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Vo Minh Ngoc - Head of Labor Recruitment Department of Tracodi Labor Export Joint Stock Company said that in the context of a highly competitive domestic job market, going to work abroad is becoming a feasible choice for many young workers aged 18 to 30 (or under 40 years old). Compared to domestic income, the international environment offers better benefits. After deducting all living expenses, workers can accumulate from 18 to 25 million VND per month, not only improving their personal and family finances but also raising their thinking and accessing a professional working environment.
Mr. Ngoc said that Japan and Taiwan (China) are currently attracting the largest number of applicants, followed by Germany. As for Korea, the majority of workers choose to go abroad as students. To participate, the first mandatory procedure is to have a health certificate that meets the requirements from designated hospitals, and at the same time, proactively equipping basic foreign language skills will create a great advantage when interviewing foreign partners.
Faced with the situation of many subjects impersonating to defraud, Mr. Ngoc emphasized that there is absolutely no story of "light work with high salary" when sending workers to work abroad under contract.
Mr. Ngoc added that at reputable units, recruitment is publicly transparent about salary levels, costs, overtime allowances, insurance regimes and housing support. To avoid the risk of "losing money and getting sick", workers should learn information at state job introduction centers or licensed businesses with clear headquarters and facilities, minimizing the passage through unofficial intermediaries or organizations.
At the same time, when working abroad, complying with company regulations and local laws is a mandatory requirement. Workers should also take advantage of time to accumulate more knowledge, skills and foreign languages to create a foundation for career development after returning home or conveniently returning to work for the second time," Mr. Ngoc emphasized.
Information from the Ho Chi Minh City Employment Service Center said that in the first 7 months of the year, the unit has conducted 122 job transaction sessions (including 86 sessions at headquarters and branches/units receiving Unemployment Insurance - Job Introduction; 07 sessions at drug rehabilitation centers; 07 coordination sessions and 22 consulting sessions organized by other units).
Through this, the Center has consulted and introduced jobs to 450,724 people (of which 24,905 people were introduced to jobs, 8,186 people received jobs); at the same time, organized 48 job search skills counseling sessions for workers and updated policies and laws for businesses.
The unit also coordinated with companies with the function of sending workers to work abroad to advise 1,393 workers who need to work abroad under contract.
