No civil servant appointments in the following cases from August 2026

Clause 9, Article 12 of Decree 300/2026/ND-CP (effective from August 1, 2026) stipulates the amendment and supplementation of Article 29 of Decree No. 170/2025/ND-CR stipulating the standards and conditions for civil servant appointment as follows:

9. Not falling into one of the following cases:

a) Being prohibited from holding positions according to Party regulations and laws;

b) Being in the period of disciplinary action;

c) Being in the period of enforcement of disciplinary decisions according to the regulations of competent authorities;

d) Being in the process of resolving denunciations (having decided to establish a denunciation settlement team), resolving disciplinary complaints, inspection when there are signs of violations or being proposed to handle violations according to inspection and audit conclusions; being temporarily suspended from work;

e) Being temporarily detained, in custody, prosecuted, investigated, prosecuted, or tried;

e) Belonging to other cases that have not been considered for appointment to a higher position according to the regulations of competent authorities.

Thus, from August 1, 2026, civil servants are not allowed to be appointed in cases as prescribed above.
