Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor - said that Lao Dong Newspaper has accompanied the provincial union to propagate and spread many activities such as "Gameshow Rung Dong Vang", "Gameshow Tan ca vui khoe", Workers' Month, social insurance, traffic safety, law propaganda... creating a positive effect and being applied by many grassroots unions.
Not only spreading good models, Lao Dong Newspaper is also a bridge to share difficulties. In the case of a female worker in Binh Duong who died in a traffic accident, after reporting the news, the Golden Heart Fund provided emergency support to help the family prepare for the funeral.
Another case is a 26-year-old man in Vinh Long who suffered from a serious illness and had to quit his job. Thanks to the article in the "Chang Doi" section, many benefactors have sent tens of millions of VND to support the family.
According to Mr. Linh, the effectiveness of cooperation between Lao Dong Newspaper and the provincial trade union is demonstrated in its influence in spreading and inspiring community action, helping the voices of workers and trade union activities get closer to union members.
Accompanying the grassroots
On the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the first issue of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor - respectfully thanked Lao Dong Newspaper for always accompanying and reporting on trade union activities in a timely manner, contributing to supporting trade unions in caring for, protecting rights and spreading the image of solidarity and sharing in the community.
The Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor also hopes that in the coming time, Lao Dong Newspaper will continue to promote propaganda about good models and effective methods in grassroots unions, especially in new, small units or in areas far from the center - which have encountered some difficulties after the merger when the province's management scope is expanded.
In addition, the leaders of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor expect Lao Dong Newspaper to organize training sessions, providing more information and skills on communication work for the team of union officials in charge of this field at the provincial and grassroots levels.
