Commemorating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025), the Trade Unions at all levels of Vinh Long province are entering a new phase with a spirit of innovation, creativity, solidarity and action.
From July 1, 2025, after completing the organizational merger, the leadership of the Provincial Federation of Labor (PFF) will be strengthened with 31 comrades in the Executive Committee, continuing to affirm its role as a trusted representative organization, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights of more than 172,000 union members.
Many practical activities have been strongly implemented such as the program "Tet Sum Vay", "Union Shelter", "Back of Workers", Workers' Month activities, housing support, periodic health check-ups, dialogues with workers, etc.
According to a report from the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor, in the first 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor supported nearly 263 billion VND for union members, built 285 houses, developed more than 14,000 new union members, and established 23 more grassroots unions. In addition, two large-scale projects including Social Housing in Giao Long Industrial Park (Ben Tre) and Sports Center in Long Duc Industrial Park (Tra Vinh) are being accelerated.
Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor said that in the coming time, Vinh Long Trade Union will focus on innovating the content and methods of operation, improving representation efficiency, and caring for workers' rights.
Key tasks include: supervising salary, insurance, and labor safety policies; promoting the "Union Shelter" and "Tet Sum Vay" programs; developing union members, improving the quality of grassroots unions; strengthening communication and patriotic emulation.
With the spirit of "one province - one will - one action - one victorious belief", Vinh Long Trade Union continues to be a solid support for workers.
"Suching the glorious 96-year tradition of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor has identified innovation in methods of operation, improving the quality of organization, and focusing on the grassroots, as the key to continue to accompany and foster trust for union members and workers in the integration period," Mr. Linh added.
