On June 18, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Education Trade Union announced Decision No. 63/QD-CDN on June 9 on the termination of the activities of 36 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) together with the Executive Committee and Inspection Committee of these units, effective from June 10.
Ms. Le Nguyen Lan Anh - Chairwoman of the Vinh Long Provincial Education Trade Union - said that in order to implement the policy of streamlining the apparatus and reorganizing the organization according to Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW of the 13th Central Executive Committee and the directives of the General Confederation on the arrangement of trade union organizations appropriately in the new period and Project No. 01/DA-CDN of the Provincial Education Trade Union Standing Committee.
Accordingly, the grassroots trade unions on the list must carry out procedures for handing over seals to competent authorities, settling financial revenue and expenditure and handing over financial records and documents to the direct superior trade union.
At the same time, these units are also responsible for resolving all rights and obligations related to the activities of grassroots trade unions with organizations and individuals according to the provisions of law and the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
"The 36 units that have terminated operations include the Trade Unions of high schools, junior high schools and the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Long. This decision is an important step in the work of perfecting the organization of the Vinh Long Education Trade Union" - Chairman of the Provincial Education Trade Union added.
