On the afternoon of June 13, the Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee held an online conference with points in localities, announcing decisions to appoint members of the Party Executive Committee of new communes and wards.
At the conference, Mr. Vo Thanh Danh, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, announced the decision of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee to appoint members of the Party Executive Committee, secretary and president positions... of new communes and wards after the merger and trial operation on June 16.
The conference provided guidance on a number of contents related to the activities of the government; People's Council; Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level.
On June 9, the Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee signed a decision to end the activities of 102 grassroots Party Committees of communes, wards and towns under the district Party Committees, city Party Committees and city Party Committees from June 30. The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Party Committees of the above communes, wards and towns and relevant agencies and units according to their functions and tasks to coordinate the transfer and reception of Party organizations, Party members, cadres, civil servants, public employees, seals, documents, finance, assets (if any) according to regulations.
Previously, on June 2, the Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee issued a decision approving the project to end the activities of the Party Committees of communes, wards and towns (old); establish the Party Committees of communes and wards under the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee.
Accordingly, 35 projects to end the activities of the Party Committees of communes, wards and towns (old) were approved; establish the Party Committees of communes and wards under the Provincial Party Committee. This decision takes effect from the effective date of the resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Vinh Long province in 2025.
