HCMC - The City Labor Federation (LDLD) spends union finances to support Vinh Thong Company workers who are owed wages and have delayed social insurance payments.

On December 10, Mr. Pham Van Hien - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation Legal Consulting Center - said that the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation has spent union finances to support 137 workers of Vinh Thong Production, Trade and Service Company Limited (Vinh Thong Company) with 1 million VND each. On December 10, workers whose wages were owed by Vinh Thong Company received this support.

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, Vinh Thong Company owes wages and social insurance late with a huge amount of money. 137 workers of Vinh Thong Company authorized Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union officials to sue the company in court. However, up to now, Vinh Thong Company has not properly implemented the judgment and decision of the court, while most workers are facing difficulties.

The Ho Chi Minh City Civil Judgment Enforcement has issued a decision to temporarily suspend the exit of the legal representative of Vinh Thong Company and temporarily suspend the change of assets of the enterprise, to ensure the obligation to pay wages and social insurance for workers.
