- Carry out activities of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; participate in building progressive, harmonious and stable labor relations;
- Propagate, disseminate and educate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; improve qualifications, expertise, professional skills, and working style for union members and workers;
- Visit and provide subsidies to union members and workers when they are sick, pregnant, have difficulties or are in distress; organize other care activities for union members and workers;
- Develop union members, establish grassroots unions, grassroots unions and build strong unions;
- Training and fostering union officials; training and fostering excellent workers to create a source of cadres for the Party, the State and the Trade Union organization;
- Organize emulation movements chaired or jointly launched by the Trade Union;
- Organize cultural, sports, sightseeing and tourism activities for union members and workers;
- Reward and encourage employees and children of employees with achievements in studying and working;
- Invest in the construction of social housing for union members and workers to rent; cultural, sports and related technical infrastructure works to serve union members and workers according to the provisions of law;
- Activities to ensure gender equality in accordance with the functions and tasks of the Trade Union organization;
- Scientific research, technology, innovation and digital transformation of the Trade Union organization;
- Administrative management expenditures to serve the activities of trade union organizations at all levels and international cooperation activities of trade unions;
- Pay salaries, allowances and payables according to salaries to full-time union officials, and operating allowances to non-professional union officials;
- Support for non-professional union officials during the period of job interruption, who cannot return to their old job due to the employer terminating their labor contracts, work contracts, forcing them to quit or illegal dismissal;
- Support grassroots trade unions where trade union fees are exempted, reduced or temporarily suspended as prescribed in Article 30 of this Law to care for union members and workers;
- Social activities chaired or coordinated by the Trade Union;
- Other spending tasks as prescribed by law.
