Helping workers with serious illnesses overcome difficulties
Recently, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Pou Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bau Xeo Industrial Park, Trang Bom District, Dong Nai Province) promptly supported the company's union member N.T.K.X (working at the garment factory).
According to the company's union, Ms. X had to face major difficulties and challenges when suffering from a serious illness. However, thanks to the care, sharing and kindness of all union members and workers of Pou Phong, Ms. X and her family received great encouragement both materially and spiritually. The amount of money donated of more than 38 million VND is not only a financial help but also a great source of motivation for Ms. X to continue fighting the disease.
The grassroots union of Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bau Xeo Industrial Park, Trang Bom District) said that in February 2025, the company's union awarded nearly 327 million VND to 6 workers with serious illnesses, each case received nearly 55 million VND. This is a humanitarian activity launched and implemented annually by the company's trade union, donated by all employees in the company to support difficult cases.
In 2024, the company's employees joined hands to help 30 cases of workers who unfortunately suffered from serious illnesses.
Supporting families when workers pass away
The Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Company Limited (Thanh Phu Industrial Park, Vinh Cuu District) said that the Trade Union of Chang Shin Long Thanh Department has just handed over the "395th Support Meeting" to the family of the unfortunate passing worker P.T.N. The amount of money handed over to the family of worker P.T.N was 369.5 million VND. The money was divided into 3 and a savings book was established for the 3 children of worker P.T.N.
Mr. Dang Tuan Tu - Chairman of the Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Company Limited - said that in 2002, the Executive Committee of the Company's Trade Union had the initiative to establish the "Chang Shin Family Support Council".
Accordingly, if a member unfortunately dies, each member of the association will contribute 10,000 VND/person (previously 5,000 VND/person, 7,000 VND/person), then transfer it to the member's relatives, the amount of about 350 - 400 million VND. Due to the humanitarian nature, nearly 100% of workers registered to participate, even retired workers still registered.
According to the Chang Shin Family Support Association's regulations on inheritance rights, if a member is married and raising a child under 18 years old, the total amount of money collected by the association will be saved to the children until they are 18 years old and will be the owners of the above savings account. Every month, the family or caregiver of the children will directly receive interest to support the care and raising. If the member is still single, the money will be handed over to the member's family.
The Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Company Limited also has an initiative to implement a gift giving program for workers building new houses to encourage union members and workers to stick with the enterprise. Recently, the Executive Board of the Long Thanh Department Trade Union of the company visited and presented gifts to 3 VJ2 Long Thanh employees who built a new house, with valuable gifts such as refrigerators, washing machines and TVs.
According to the company's Trade Union, through the activities of giving valuable gifts to union members and workers to build new houses, it has brought a positive effect, encouraging the spirit of union members and workers in building settling down and settling down.
