On September 12, the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference to announce the Decision on transferring grassroots unions under the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor to the Rach Gia Ward Union for management.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Nhat Tien has implemented a number of key contents of Trade Union activities in the province since the merger and consolidation of the two provinces of An Giang and Kien Giang; oriented the transfer of grassroots trade unions to a number of wards, communes, and special zones for monitoring and management.
At the conference, Decision No. 83 of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor on transferring grassroots unions under the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor to the Rach Gia Ward Union was announced.
Specifically, 116 grassroots trade unions with 7,349 union members under the Provincial Federation of Labor will be transferred to the Rach Gia Ward Trade Union for management, from August 27, 2025. The Executive Committee (EC) of the Rach Gia Ward Trade Union is responsible for performing the functions and tasks according to Official Dispatch 4251 of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The Rach Gia Ward Trade Union was established on July 1, 2025. Executive Committee of 9 comrades, Standing Committee of 3 comrades. After its establishment, the Ward Trade Union held the first Executive Committee meeting; developed the working regulations of the Executive Committee, announced the assignment of Executive Committee tasks, and the Trade Union activities program for the last 6 months of 2025.
