On August 27, the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor held a training conference on trade union work in 2025 (phase 2).
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Tien - Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor, Head of the An Giang Provincial Trade Union Work Committee said: 2025 is a year full of important events, marking a major turning point in the development history of the province after merging the two provinces (Kien Giang and An Giang). In the new context, each level of the Trade Union, especially the grassroots Trade Union, which is directly associated, close and understands union members and workers - must constantly innovate, improve capacity and methods of operation.

The team of union officials are pioneering soldiers, a solid bridge between the union organization and union members and workers. Comrades are not only those who convey policies and guidelines, but also those who directly listen, share and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers in enterprises and localities.
However, Mr. Tien also said that in the process of performing the task, difficulties and problems could not be avoided. The current grassroots trade union organization is still operating, the number of union members in some places is still small, the resources for trade union activities are limited, the work of caring for union members in some places is not timely.... Those difficulties require us to have solid knowledge, skills and constant creativity and flexibility to apply and successfully complete assigned tasks.
At the training session, delegates listened to the implementation of directives and instructions from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Federation of Labor on Trade Union organization work, Trade Union financial work; answered difficulties and problems of grassroots trade unions; thoroughly grasped and directed a number of contents that need to focus on implementing key tasks in the last 6 months of 2025.

Mr. Tien also emphasized that this is not only a conference, but also an open forum for listening, exchanging, and sharing to promptly remove difficulties and bottlenecks that still exist in activities in grassroots trade unions after the merger of the two provinces. Each opinion is contributed so that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor can supplement the orientation to direct the activities of the Trade Union in the coming time, contributing to building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization.
