According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, the thematic job transaction session (GDVL) for demobilized soldiers has 31 participating units with a total of 2,170 recruitment, enrollment, study abroad, and labor export targets. Of which, 1,315 recruitment targets with diverse positions and occupations; 855 enrollment targets.
Coming to the GDVL session, Mr. Do Hong Phong (20 years old), currently working at the Armored Battalion (Hanoi Capital Command) said that he wants to refer to the profession first and learn more degrees before demobilization in January 2026, and also learn more about the labor market.

“Previously, I used to do some part-time jobs related to game graphic design and interior design. In the future, I want to find a job to earn extra income and then study extra, supplement degrees to find a job suitable for my hobby and graphic design expertise. I also do not have specific expectations for the salary, depending on the performance of my work,” Mr. Phong said.
Mr. Tran Van Bach (21 years old, Mobile Guard - Military Control Battalion, Hanoi Capital Command) shared that for 2 years in the army, he did not know how the external labor market changed, so he participated in the GDVL session for him to refer to job positions in advance.
There is about 1 month left until I go out. I am hesitant to continue studying or switch to a new major. I personally like to work in a creative and dynamic environment, so I want to aim for marketing positions to study further and have practical experience," Mr. Bach shared.
Potential from the labor force is the demobilized soldiers
The GDVL session is not only an opportunity for demobilized soldiers who have returned to their localities, soldiers who are about to complete their job search obligations; businesses also see the potential from this labor force.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - representative of Bao An 247 Real Estate Co., Ltd. (under SunGroup) said that the demobilized soldiers have many similarities for the security positions that the company needs to recruit.

Mr. Anh said: "Demobilized soldiers are people who are trained in a disciplined environment, have good physical foundation, are qualified to adapt and quickly catch up with the work and current needs of the company. We have salaries and benefits for demobilized soldiers from 13-15 million VND/month. The company always prioritizes recruiting security positions, this group can be trained and promoted to higher positions.
Attending the session, Mr. Nguyen Duy Huan - representative of 19.8 Security Service Co., Ltd. - Hanoi City Police wished to receive about 100 application dossiers.
We want to recruit demobilized soldiers and soldiers who are about to demobilize. In December, we have to strengthen personnel to protect order in the Hoan Kiem Lake area both at night and during the day, from Monday to Friday, so we really need more people. We ensure a salary of 7-12 million VND/month, depending on the job position, age or in the process of working with achievements, the company also has additional rewards," Mr. Huan said.
According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Luong - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs, implementing the direction of the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs, the Hanoi DVVL Center in coordination with the Military Forces - Staff Department (Hanoi Capital High Command) organized a thematic job transaction session for demobilized soldiers.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Luong emphasized: "After 10 years of implementation, the program has created more than 2,000 jobs, opening up many practical opportunities for soldiers after being discharged from the army in the area. This is clear evidence of the effectiveness of synchronous coordination between the army, government and businesses; helping young people feel secure to return to their localities to start a career.

The target for recruiting workers with college and university degrees or higher is 364; workers with intermediate level - technical workers is 437; general labor is 514 with income divided according to recruitment needs from 5-15 million VND/month.
Job opportunities are mainly divided by age group from 18-25 with 747 targets; age group 26-34 with 314 targets, and the rest are age groups from 35 and over with 254 targets.
