In addition to foreign language skills, businesses are setting many new requirements for students in this industry when officially joining the job market.

Students actively look for jobs

The "Job Fair - Ulis Job Fair 2026" program recently organized by the University of Foreign Languages (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) has the participation of 59 businesses with many job positions such as in education, business, media...

Present at the program early, Trinh Diep (21 years old) - a student of the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture - University of Foreign Languages - said that the atmosphere at the festival was lively, attracting many students, creating opportunities for exchange and learning about recruitment information.

According to Diep, although there is still one year until graduation, participating in networking activities with businesses helps students better visualize the labor market and career orientation in the future.

If there is an opportunity, I hope that after graduating, I can do a job related to Japanese translation with an income of about 12 million VND/month. I think the most important thing is still diligence in learning and improving skills," Trinh Diep shared.

Nguyen Thi Ha Giang (21 years old) - a student of the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture, University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi - said that she is looking for new opportunities to expand her career orientation. Currently teaching English at an English center in Hanoi, Ha Giang wants to find a position different from her current part-time job and school program.

The teaching assistant job helps me have extra income, but I don't want to do the same thing forever or be familiar with what I am learning. Trying a new opportunity is also a way for me to discover my abilities before officially entering the labor market," Ha Giang shared.

Employers prioritize foreign languages and technology

The Job Fair is an opportunity for businesses to find potential candidates, meeting the needs of high-quality human resources in the context of a competitive labor market.

Directly participating in recruiting and interviewing candidates, Ms. Le Thu Phuong - representative of Dr.Joy Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that the company is planning to recruit students for two internship positions that require Japanese and technology expertise.

According to Ms. Phuong, the company operates in the field of digital transformation for the healthcare industry, developing applications used in hospitals and medical facilities in Japan. "We want to be able to reach more than 100 students. The support level for interns is currently about 30,000 VND/hour. After the internship period, if appropriate, they can be supported by the company and considered to become full-time employees," Ms. Thu Phuong said.

Regarding recruitment requirements, business representatives said that in addition to basic knowledge, students need to have the ability to use Japanese, meticulousness in work and especially the ability to quickly adapt to technology. For positions related to artificial intelligence, flexibility and proactive learning are prioritized by businesses.
