On March 6, the Trade Union of Tra Vinh General Hospital (Vinh Long province) organized a cooking contest with the theme "Family Meal", attracting a large number of union members and workers to participate in a lively atmosphere.
The contest has 32 teams from departments and rooms in the hospital. Each team consists of 2 members who coordinate to prepare a family meal for 5 people including white rice and 3 buffet dishes.
During the prescribed 120 minutes, the teams focused on preparing dishes, decorating the meal trays to ensure nutrition, aesthetics and show ingenuity and creativity in the way they combine ingredients.
Through the contest, the Organizing Committee wishes to create a playground for exchange, strengthen the connection between departments and divisions, and at the same time contribute to improving the spiritual life of union members and workers.

The Judging Panel evaluates the entries based on many criteria such as the flavor of the dish, cooking techniques, presentation, creativity and ensuring food safety and hygiene.
According to the Judging Panel, many teams have invested elaborately, the meals are prepared in harmony between nutrition and appearance, clearly expressing the message of reunion and connection in each family meal.
At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize to the Department of Pathology; 2 second prizes belonged to the Department of Otolaryngology and the Department of Biochemistry - Microbiology.
Three third prizes were awarded to the Department of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, the Department of Pharmacy and the Department of Psychiatry. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 17 consolation prizes to teams participating in the contest.
