Having gone for regular check-ups at Saigon General Hospital for many years, Ms. N.T.L (80 years old, living in Ben Thanh Ward) this time feels happier when coming to the hospital.
Today, the doctors here performed gentle music performances, relieving the mood very well for those who go to the hospital for examination and treatment like her.
Today, when the hospital organizes a music program, the melodies ring out, making me feel like I am back to my childhood. I was really touched, listening to the music felt completely healthy. I hope the program will continue to be maintained and spread, so that many other patients can also relax and feel secure like me, Ms. L. shared.
Also present in the program, immersed in the slow, fast-paced melodies that stimulated listeners' emotions, Ms. Joe (a tourist from Australia Australia) was very surprised and shared: I think this is a great idea. Activities like this help patients to calm down mentally, reduce anxiety, feel more comfortable and somewhat forget their illness. In Australia, we don't have a model like this."
That is the common feeling of many audiences attending the program "White Blouse Symphony" held for the first time at Saigon General Hospital. Not only patients and relatives but also foreign tourists when coming to the hospital for examination expressed their excitement and shared many positive feelings about the program.
The program was organized by the Social Work Group, Saigon General Hospital in coordination with the Department of Social Work, Gia Dinh People's Hospital. Carrying the message of healing through music, the program has the participation of a volunteer music group. In a gentle, intimate space, the artists took the audience through many emotions through the concerts.
On the occasion of the approaching Mid-Autumn Festival, the program also brings a bustling atmosphere with children's songs such as: August Lanterns Ride, Thung Thinh Thinh..., recalling childhood memories and bringing joy to both adults and children.
Speaking at the program, Dr. CKI Phan Quoc Linh, Head of the Department of Traditional Medicine, Saigon General Hospital, said: For the first time, the White Blouse Dance program was held at the hospital. This is an activity that contributes to creating a warm and close atmosphere for patients when coming for examination and treatment. In the coming time, the two hospitals will have more meaningful joint programs to bring the best comfort and experience to patients".
