On the afternoon of October 1, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the leadership of Nong Cong General Hospital, Thanh Hoa province said that the flood water had receded, only a few points were still deeply flooded.
"After the water receded, the authorities and hospital staff urgently cleaned up and threw away mud in the receded areas. For inpatients, care and treatment are still taking place normally. By the afternoon of October 1, the hospital had received dozens of cases of patients coming for examination and treatment" - a representative of Nong Cong General Hospital informed.
Also on October 1, many volunteer groups came to the hospital, providing mineral water, fast food, porridge, rice... to help the hospital maintain stable operations.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on the morning of September 30, the entire Nong Cong commune had 30/44 villages with 3,200 households (11,330 people), including Nong Cong General Hospital, which was deeply submerged in floodwater, more than 300 households (over 1,200 people) had to move to high-rise buildings to ensure safety.
