To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Security Forces (July 12, 1946 - July 12, 2026) and the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), the People's Police Trade Union (CAND) organized gratitude and social security activities with a total budget of 2.236 billion VND.
Specifically, on July 12, 2026 in Tay Ninh province, the Trade Union of the People's Public Security Forces advised the Ministry leaders to visit and give gifts to policy families, people with meritorious services and forces participating in protecting grassroots security and order. Donated funds to support the construction of 2 "Trade Union Shelters" (worth 80 million VND/unit) to 2 comrades officers of the People's Security Forces under the Tay Ninh Provincial Police who are in difficult housing circumstances.
Giving 310 gifts (worth 700,000 VND/gift) to policy families, people with meritorious services, forces participating in protecting grassroots security and order, children in difficult circumstances in My Quy commune (Tay Ninh province) and former security officers of the Central Security Department of the South.
On July 18, 2026, in Quang Tri province, the People's Public Security Trade Union coordinated with functional units of the Political Work Department (Ministry of Public Security) to organize social security activities.
Visiting and giving gifts to 30 policy families; supporting 80 million VND to repair the church of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Thao and two martyrs Phan Vu, Phan Van Cu in Ben Hai commune; donating 1 TV to Quang Tri Ward Police; 2 computer rooms (20 computers/room) to Dong Ha High School and Hai Le Primary and Secondary School; visiting Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ngo Thi Mung in Cua Tung commune and Mother Tran Thi Lien in Ben Hai commune.
It is expected that on July 27, 2026, in Tuyen Quang province, the People's Public Security Trade Union will award funding to support the construction of 3 "Trade Union Homes" (worth 60 million VND/unit) for 3 comrades who are cadres of the People's Security Forces under the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police who are in difficult housing circumstances.
Giving 314 gifts in kind (worth about 700,000 VND/gift) to policy families, forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level, students and poor households in Minh Thanh commune, Tuyen Quang province.
In addition, the People's Police Trade Union coordinated with partners to survey locations, prepare necessary conditions to organize eye examination programs, distribute free medicines to 350 people (each examination worth 800,000 VND); and at the same time screen and award 50 free eye surgery packages (18 million VND/eye) for eligible cases.
