3,119 new union members admitted
One of the highlights of the work of developing union members and establishing new grassroots trade unions of the Da Nang City Labor Federation in the first 6 months of 2026 is the "Journey for Union Member Development" organized by the Da Nang City Labor Federation at Quoc Quang Music Co., Ltd. (Vietnam).

At the Festival, the Da Nang City Labor Federation announced the decision to admit 776 workers to the Trade Union organization, bringing the total number of union members of the unit to 962 people.
Not only organizing the admission ceremony, the program also integrates propaganda on policies on social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, specialized topics on Ho Chi Minh ideology for the emulation movement among workers and presented support to 20 union members in difficult circumstances.
With the Trade Union, workers will have an extra support when working at the enterprise. Not only participating in collective activities, company employees are also consulted on labor law, social insurance and have representatives to protect their rights when necessary" - Ms. Duong Thi Bich Tram, Representative of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Quoc Quang Music Co., Ltd. shared.
Not only Quoc Quang Music Co., Ltd. (Vietnam), the work of developing union members in Workers' Month 2026 recorded many positive results.
According to a report by the Da Nang City Labor Federation, in the first 6 months of the year, Trade Union levels admitted 3,119 new union members, established 49 grassroots trade unions, and introduced 137 outstanding union members for Party committees to consider admitting, of which 8 union members were admitted to the Party ranks.
Practical benefits of joining the Trade Union
The figures on union member development of the Da Nang Trade Union reflect the efforts to innovate the mobilization method of the Trade Union organization in the context of a changing labor market.
Instead of just focusing on propaganda, Trade Union levels focus on bringing specific benefits to workers through care programs, dialogues, legal advice, health check-ups, support for difficulties, improved skills and expanded welfare programs.
Organizing the Trade Union Member Development Day right at the enterprise also creates conditions for workers to directly access the Trade Union organization, better understand the rights and responsibilities of union members, and thereby voluntarily participate.
Mr. Le Van Dai, Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, said that developing union members is always one of the key tasks of the Trade Union organization, because more union members means that more workers are better cared for and protected.
According to Mr. Le Van Dai, the results of admitting union members of the Da Nang Trade Union in the first 6 months of the year are proof of the effectiveness of the grassroots approach, taking workers as the center. When workers see the practical benefits that the Trade Union brings, they will actively participate and stick with the organization.
Developing union members is not only increasing in quantity but more importantly building the trust of workers in the Trade Union organization. To do that, each activity must originate from the actual needs of union members, solve the issues they are interested in and accompany them in the process of labor and production," Mr. Le Van Dai emphasized.
From the event of 776 workers joining the Trade Union at a business, it can be seen that the attraction of today's Trade Union organization comes not only from care programs but also from the role of representing, protecting and accompanying workers.
When rights are guaranteed, voices are heard and practical values are brought about, the Trade Union organization will continue to be a fulcrum for workers to trust, stick with and develop sustainably with businesses.
