News from the Trade Union of Chien Dan commune, Da Nang city on July 8th said: currently, the commune trade union is assigned to manage 13 grassroots trade unions with 3,679 union members. The ideological and life situation of union members and workers is basically stable.
In the first 6 months of the year, the Commune Trade Union synchronously implemented tasks, achieving many positive results thanks to closely following the leadership of the City Labor Federation, the Commune Party Committee and the socio-economic development tasks of the locality.
Trade union levels continue to affirm the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers through dialogue, legal advice, participating in policy making, resolving labor disputes and supporting workers at enterprises.
Caring work has been effectively implemented with many programs such as "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", "Trade Union Meal", organizing union member welfare programs..., with a total budget of more than 1 billion VND.
The highlight of activities in the first 6 months of the year is the launch of the model "Chien Dan Trade Union - a loving support" sponsoring 2 students in difficult circumstances with a total amount of 57 million VND.
In which, the Commune Trade Union assigned each grassroots trade union to sponsor or support at least 1 case of CNVCLĐ or children of workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from dangerous diseases; workers who have labor accidents with a total amount of nearly 200 million VND.
Propaganda and education work has been innovated, promoting the application of digital technology, organizing many political, legal, cultural, sports and communication activities in many forms: singing contest "Workers, civil servants, and laborers in 2026", deploying training for grassroots trade union officials on management and use of trade union software and application of artificial intelligence (AI) in trade union activities in 2026...
The work of building trade union organizations achieved many positive results and exceeded the assigned targets, upgrading and establishing 3 new grassroots trade unions with 87 members; developing 249 new members; introducing 4 outstanding members to the Party for consideration and admission.
Ms. Tran Thi Minh Hieu - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Chien Dan commune said: In the last 6 months of 2026, the Commune Trade Union will focus on organizing even better emulation movements, especially Good Labor, High Productivity, and Good Income.
Especially promoting activities to care for workers, especially carefully surveying and grasping the situation of workers suffering from dangerous diseases and labor accidents in particularly difficult circumstances to propose that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor provide long-term support.
