After 2.5 working days (from June 3 to morning of June 5), urgently, democratically, seriously and responsibly, the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026-2031, successfully completed the contents according to the set program.
At the closing session, the Congress elected 135 members of the Executive Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL). These are typical cadres in terms of intellect, political qualities, ethics, capacity and dedication to the interests of union members and workers.
Among the 135 elected members, Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union had 2 elected representatives including: Mr. Ha Duy Trung - Member of the Executive Committee of the 13th Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation;
Mr. Nguyen Duc Long, Member of the Executive Committee of the 13th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee of Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation.
The election of 2 representatives of Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union with a high number of confidence votes is not only an honor for individuals, but also affirms the prestige and positive contributions of the worker, civil servant, and laborer movement of Gia Lai province to the Trade Union movement nationwide.
Previously, attending the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, the delegation of Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union brought with them the thoughts, aspirations and expectations of more than 80,000 union members and workers in the province.
At the discussion sessions, the delegation actively participated in contributing many opinions to the Congress documents, focusing on solutions to improve the lives, wages, welfare and ensure labor safety and hygiene for workers and laborers.
Proposals from production and business practices in the fields of industry, services, and agriculture - forestry were reflected by Gia Lai delegates at the Congress, contributing to proposing practical mechanisms and policies to protect the rights and interests of workers in the new period.
Returning from the Congress with a new responsibility, Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union determined to soon concretize the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress into programs and action plans suitable to local practices; continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, promote digital transformation and put workers at the center of all activities.
The presence of 2 representatives participating in the Executive Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labour is expected to contribute to bringing the voice of Gia Lai union members and workers closer to the policies of the Trade Union organization in the new period.
