Education Trade Union presents 2,375 Tet gifts to union members

Attending were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Viet Loc - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training and 150 delegates representing 41,935 union members, officials, teachers, and workers (CBNGNLD).

Currently, the Vietnam Education Union (CDGD) directly manages 73 units, including 4 national university trade unions, regional universities and 69 grassroots trade unions with a total of 41,935 union members, officials, employees and laborers.

In the period 2023 - 2025, the Education Union implemented the full-term work program "Innovating care and protection work associated with the needs and conditions of teachers and workers in the Education sector", the resolution "Supporting education in difficult areas" to build official residences, supporting and helping officials, civil servants and laborers in difficult areas was actively responded to by trade union levels. Accordingly, mobilized support to build 6 clean water projects in Sin Ho (Lai Chau) worth 300 million VND and supported the construction of teacher official residences at Hien Da High School, Cam Khe commune (Phu Tho province) with a budget of approximately 1.2 billion VND...

The Education Union has organized 6 "Tet Reunion" programs with over 2.4 billion VND; awarded 2,375 Tet gifts to officials, employees, and laborers; 736 Tet gifts to students. During the Lunar New Year, Tet care and gifts were given to 4,352 workers in difficult circumstances and suffering from dangerous diseases, reaching 4.3 billion VND...

The care of spiritual life and health care has been promoted with 45,127 turns of CBNGNLD having health check-ups. Propaganda work has many innovations, meeting the requirements in the new situation, creating many imprints in the industry.

Activities to respond to Workers' Month annually are actively implemented, innovating forms, content and communication products. The Women's Affairs Committees of trade union levels coordinate with their counterparts to develop activity programs according to the theme, organize many rich and meaningful activities...

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Nguyen Viet Loc - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training highly appreciated the activities of the CDGD in the period 2023-2025 in caring for and protecting union members, teachers, and workers in both macro and specific aspects.

For the 2025-2030 term, Mr. Nguyen Viet Loc proposed that the GDTU study a number of issues to implement in the coming time: Activities aimed at encouraging teachers and workers in the sector to change their awareness, be self-conscious and voluntarily participate in the sector's innovation process; promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, building exemplary teachers; pay attention to Party building work in the trade union organization; immediately after the congress, the Executive Committee of the new GDTU must focus on building a term work program and assign specific tasks to comprehensively lead and direct trade union activities at all levels in the GDTU system.

Speaking to direct the congress, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor raised a number of issues for the Education Union to study in the work programs of the next term.
