    Before Major General Toan, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security was Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen - Deputy Chief of the Ministry's Office.

    Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan, formerly Director of the Bac Giang Provincial Police, was appointed as Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security from January 20, 2025.

    Mr. Toan was promoted to the rank of Major General on March 6, 2025, after being appointed to this position.
