Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor is currently managing 580 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) and 39,709 union members.
After 2 months of implementing the new model, trade unions at all levels in the province have effectively implemented many practical activities to care for union members and workers such as: supporting the construction of 7 "Union Shelters" with a total cost of 253.5 million VND for union members' families in especially difficult circumstances; awarding funding to support the construction of houses for 2 union member families in especially difficult circumstances; visiting and giving gifts to over 3,120 union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total cost of nearly 936 million VND. The "Union Meal" program has supported 9,855 union members and workers at 80 grassroots unions...
In addition, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor has directed and urged the strengthening of dialogue at the workplace, implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Regulations, signing and implementing collective labor agreements.
Organize working groups to visit and grasp the operational situation at enterprises in the area. 100% of commune and ward trade unions after being established and stabilized have proactively grasped the situation in newly decentralized management units to grasp the employment situation, life and income of workers.
At the Conference, representatives of the Trade Union Working Committee, the Trade Union Committee of industrial parks and the Trade Unions of communes and wards frankly discussed the difficulties and practical problems at the unit when implementing trade union activities after the merger such as: the implementation of functions, tasks and powers of the commune and ward trade union model; the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions in companies and small and medium-sized enterprises; the work of developing the Party in non-state enterprises...

The merger of trade unions in communes and wards and the consolidation of the Trade Union Working Committee and the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks is a correct policy, in line with the practical situation, contributing to streamlining the apparatus, improving operational efficiency and strongly towards the grassroots. The past 2 months have shown the rapid adaptation of units, gradually stabilizing the organization, ensuring uninterrupted trade union activities, emphasized the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation.
To effectively perform the functions of the trade union organization and comprehensively complete the 2025 planning targets, Mr. Nguyen Chuong Phat suggested that trade unions at all levels focus on implementing, guiding, and directing the Trade Union Congresses at all levels and organizing the Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union Congress according to schedule and regulations. Actively participate in developing legal policies related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
