On March 17 and 18, the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with Nam Thanh Environment and Energy Joint Stock Company to organize a fertilizer support program for people in Nam Co, Mu Cang Chai and Lao Chai communes.
At the program, 15 tons of fertilizer with a total value of 54 million VND were given to households in the area. This is a practical source of support in the context that many highland farmers are still facing difficulties in production investment costs.

Speaking at the donation ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem - Chairwoman of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation said that fertilizer support activities are one of the specific contents of the social security program of the trade union organization, strongly oriented towards grassroots levels, especially in highland areas that are still facing many difficulties.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem, supporting agricultural materials not only helps people reduce the immediate cost burden but also contributes to improving farming efficiency, improving income and stabilizing long-term life.
The Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation also requested local authorities to closely coordinate in allocating and guiding the effective use of support resources; people should proactively apply scientific and technical advances to improve crop yield and quality.

Representing the accompanying enterprise, Mr. Tran Hai Long - Director of Nam Thanh Environment and Energy Joint Stock Company said that the program is part of the development orientation associated with the social responsibility of the enterprise. The donation of fertilizers aims to contribute to supporting farmers to have more conditions to invest in production, gradually improve productivity and improve their lives.
We hope to continue to accompany trade union organizations and localities to implement more practical activities, contributing to sustainable economic development in difficult areas," Mr. Long said.
Representatives of the supported communes expressed their thanks for the attention and timeliness of the trade union organization and businesses. Fertilizer will be distributed to the right recipients, used effectively, contributing to improving productivity and stabilizing people's lives.
The program not only carries the meaning of material support but also demonstrates the role of trade union organizations in caring for people's lives, while affirming the joint efforts of businesses in social security work in the locality.
