At a recent working session, leaders of the two units exchanged views on the situation of trade union activities in enterprises in industrial parks and economic zones in the province.
According to the Lao Cai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, there are currently 45 enterprises that have established trade union organizations with 5,553 members, mainly operating in the fields of mining, processing, garment and import-export.
Representatives of the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks also reported on the results of trade union activities in the first quarter of 2026, and at the same time set out some key tasks in the second quarter, focusing on propaganda and mobilizing workers to participate in trade union organizations, consolidating grassroots trade union activities and developing union members at enterprises.

Mr. Vuong Trinh Quoc - Head of the Lao Cai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board highly appreciated the results achieved by trade union levels in industrial parks in the past time. At the same time, he requested the professional departments of the Economic Zone Management Board to continue to closely coordinate with the Trade Union Boards of Industrial Parks in grasping the situation of businesses, labor, and employment.
According to Mr. Quoc, timely coordination will contribute to promoting propaganda and mobilization to establish grassroots trade unions, develop union members, thereby effectively implementing Project 02 of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee on building Party organizations and socio-political organizations in non-state-owned enterprises.
In 2026, the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks sets a target to establish 4 new grassroots trade unions, develop more than 750 union members, contributing to enhancing the representative role and caring for the rights of workers in industrial parks in the province.
