The conference was organized in a direct form at the headquarters of the Vietnam Bank Union, combined with online sessions to 5 locations. Attending and delivering directing speeches at the conference was Comrade Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.
Comrade Pham Tien Dung - Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Union chaired the conference; also attending were Comrade Nguyen Khanh Chi - Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Union; Comrade Nguyen Thanh Trung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Union.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Comrade Pham Tien Dung - Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Union highly appreciated the results that the Vietnam Bank Union has achieved in the past time, especially the work of caring for union members and workers during the Lunar New Year.
Regarding the draft documents submitted to the Conference, Comrade Pham Tien Dung said that the contents have been carefully and thoroughly prepared; and at the same time requested delegates to study carefully and contribute opinions to improve the regulations in a clear and transparent direction, creating a foundation for solidarity and unity throughout the system.
Regarding the implementation of the Resolution of the VIII Vietnam National Bank Trade Union Congress, the Chairman of the Vietnam National Bank Trade Union emphasized that these are important contents to thoroughly grasp the goals, tasks and solutions of the Resolution, creating unity in awareness and action of trade union levels; thereby bringing the Resolution into the practical activities of trade unions and the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers throughout the industry.
The implementation of two breakthrough stages, consolidating the organization and promoting digital transformation, needs to closely follow the principles and purposes of the trade union organization, taking union members and workers as the center, associated with practical requirements and professional tasks of the industry" - Comrade Pham Tien Dung expressed his opinion.
Along with that, the Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Union informed about the "Banking Industry Digital Transformation" Contest expected to be held in the near future, emphasizing that this is a practical activity, closely following the spirit of Resolution No. 57 and the "digital literacy" movement, contributing to equipping basic knowledge of information technology for workers throughout the industry.
With the scale of being organized throughout the industry and a large prize structure, practically motivating union members and workers, the Contest is expected to create motivation, encourage officials and union members to actively participate, improve digital capacity, spread the digital transformation movement, and affirm the pioneering position of the Banking industry.
Speaking to direct at the Conference, Comrade Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that the Vietnam Bank Union has achieved in the past time, especially in the context of 2025 having many difficulties and fluctuations in the organizational structure affecting trade union activities.
The Vice President of the VGCL also informed about some key tasks of the trade union organization in the coming time, especially the preparation for the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, the implementation of Workers' Month, the national conference to thoroughly grasp the Congress Resolution and emulation movements among workers, civil servants, and laborers...
In the coming time, Comrade Huynh Thanh Xuan requested the Vietnam Bank Union to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, promote digital transformation, and improve the quality of caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and employees.
Concluding the conference, Comrade Pham Tien Dung emphasized the need to well implement the motto "saying and doing", thereby creating trust among union members and workers and recognition from leaders at all levels.
The opinions contributed at the Conference were assessed as practical, quality, and an important basis to continue to promote strengths and successfully complete the set goals.
With the determination to emulation to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, towards the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress and the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Banking sector, the Conference highly agreed on key tasks, creating a foundation for synchronous deployment throughout the NHVN Trade Union system in the coming time.
Delegates attending the conference focused on discussing and contributing opinions to important draft regulations of the Vietnam Bank Union VIII term, including: Regulations on organization and operation; Working regulations of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee; Operating regulations of the Inspection Committee and the full-term work program of the Inspection Committee.
The conference also deployed 3 key action programs of the term, including: Action program to implement Resolution of the VIII Congress of the Vietnam Bank Union for the term 2025–2030; Action program to implement breakthroughs in comprehensive digital transformation of trade union activities; Action program to pilot the banking industry trade union model in a focused, continuous, and effective direction, associated with union member development and trade union establishment at foreign banks and foreign bank branches in Vietnam.
