Workers' Month 2026, implemented by the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation with the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity", aims to put workers at the center of all activities.
Accordingly, trade union levels in Ninh Binh province will focus on organizing a series of activities associated with the Action Month on occupational safety and health and the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day May 1.
The highlight of activities during Workers' Month is the strengthening of dialogue between workers and Party committees, authorities and employers, thereby promptly grasping and resolving recommendations and problems arising from the grassroots level.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Long - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation said that one of the key contents of this year's Workers' Month is the program "Thank you workers", with many activities directly aimed at the rights and lives of union members and workers.
Trade unions at all levels will coordinate with businesses to organize visits and give gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, who have suffered labor accidents, occupational diseases or have reduced income...
Along with that, models such as "Trade Union Meals", welfare booths, and preferential price sales programs continue to be implemented, contributing to reducing living costs for workers. Many units focus on improving the quality of lunch meals, supporting workers working in heavy and hazardous environments, and strengthening health care, psychological counseling and reproductive health for female workers.
Cultural, sports, and worker family festival activities are also widely organized, creating a cohesive atmosphere and improving the spiritual life of workers in industrial parks and businesses.
In parallel with care activities, the Ninh Binh Trade Union clearly defines the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of employees. Through the "May Dialogue" program, the heads of Party committees, authorities and businesses directly meet and listen to the opinions of employees.
Issues related to salaries, employment, working conditions, social insurance... will be brought up for public exchange, thereby finding timely solutions to remove them. This is considered an important channel to help limit labor disputes and build harmonious and stable labor relations.
In addition, trade unions at all levels also promote legal advice, support workers to access information about regimes and policies, and raise legal awareness in labor relations.
Along with that, the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions continues to be promoted, especially in the non-state business sector. Building a strong Trade Union organization is identified as a foundation to better care for union members and workers.
With a methodical approach, towards grassroots levels and taking workers as the center, Workers' Month 2026 in Ninh Binh will be a peak action period, spreading policies, consolidating the trust of union members and workers in the Trade Union organization. Thereby, contributing to building an increasingly modern working class, meeting development requirements in the new stage.
