On December 1, the People's Committee of An Cuu Ward (Hue City) held a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Ward Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term (expanded). Attending were representatives of the Hue City Labor Federation, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of the ward; trade unions and enterprises in the area.
An Cuu Ward Trade Union is a new model, officially operating from October 1, 2025, managing 41 grassroots trade unions under enterprises, public service units and trade unions that do not receive 100% of the state budget.
At the conference, delegates listened to 3 presentations from the Trade Union of Hue City Green Park Center, the Trade Union of Hiep Thanh Company Limited and the Trade Union of Hue College of Culture and Arts, focusing on sharing experiences in building grassroots trade union organizations, improving the quality of activities and caring for union members and workers.
In his speech, Comrade Nguyen Quy - Vice Chairman of the Hue City Labor Federation - requested the Ward Labor Union to promptly complete the working regulations, develop an action program, and assign clear tasks to effectively implement from the first days of establishment.
He emphasized the need to innovate the content and methods of operation in the direction of taking union members and workers as the center; improving the quality of representation, caring for, and protecting workers' rights; promoting the development of union members and building a team of union officials with courage and intelligence.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Phan Vinh Duy Man - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ward Party Committee - suggested that the Ward Trade Union focus on propaganda and political and ideological education; improve the capacity to solve problems arising in labor relations; increase training of expertise and skills for union members.
He requested the trade union organization to continue promoting emulation movements, doing a good job of supervision, taking care of the practical rights of workers and focusing on developing party members among union members.
The conference unanimously elected 6 official delegates and 2 absent delegates to attend the 16th Hue City Trade Union Congress.
