On the morning of November 27, in Hanoi, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong attended the 50th Anniversary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2025) and the 105th Anniversary of the birth of President Kaysone Phomvihane (December 13, 20,000 - December 13, 2025).
The ceremony was solemnly organized by the Party Central Committee, President, National Assembly, Government, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Hanoi City.
Also attending the ceremony were former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; Politburo members: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai; Minister of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang; Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

On the Lao side, there were Ms. Khamphau Ernthavanh - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam; representative of the family of President Kaysone Phomvihane; staff and employees of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam; representatives of Lao citizens and students living, working and studying in Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the leaders of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, President Luong Cuong warmly congratulated and shared his joy for the important and historic achievements that the Lao Party, State and people have achieved in the past 50 years of development.
Pointing out that the special relationship between Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam has been directly founded by great leaders such as President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong; been painstakingly built, preserved and nurtured by generations of leaders and people of the two countries with sweat, effort, intelligence and even blood, the President affirmed that it has truly become an invaluable asset, a "one-of-a-kind relationship in world history", a solid support for today's and future generations to continue writing beautiful stories about the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
The President emphasized that the Party, State and people of Vietnam are always proud to have a loyal, loyal friend and share the same goals; every victory of the Vietnamese Revolution in the past struggle for national liberation, as well as in the current cause of building and developing the country, is associated with the special solidarity, with the spirit of "the common orange, the common rice grains are divided, the vegetable blows are broken in half, the joys and sorrows are shared" of the Lao people.
The President affirmed that Vietnam strongly and comprehensively supports the cause of innovation, construction and development of the brotherly country of Laos and will do everything possible to continuously consolidate and develop the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
