On December 1, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Ha Ba Thai - Chairman of the People's Committee of Na Ngoi Commune (Nghe An) - said that the sharp drop in temperature in the past two days has caused frost to appear in many locations in the border area.
According to Mr. Thai, from the morning of November 29 and 30, the temperature at some high points of the commune dropped below 0°C, causing frost to cover trees, grass and areas near the Buoc Mu Border Control Station. At around 9am, when there is sunshine, the ice layer begins to melt.

The Na Ngoi commune government has announced and promoted to people to proactively keep warm and protect their health in harsh weather conditions. "We remind people to wear warm clothes and limit going out in the early morning and at night. For livestock, people are instructed to cover the barns and reserve food to avoid cold, limiting the situation of cattle dying," said Mr. Thai.
In recent years, Na Ngoi has been an area that often experiences frost every time there is severe cold. According to the forecast, the temperature in Nghe An in the coming days will continue to remain low, with the risk of frost reappearing in the high mountains.
For tourists, seeing the ice weather in the highlands in the West of Nghe An is an attractive experience.
