On May 11, An Khe Ward Trade Union organized a Conference to respond to the activities of Workers' Month 2026.
Attending the program were representatives of the City Labor Federation, the Party Committee, the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, and a large number of trade union officials, union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers in the area.
Speaking at the conference, representatives of the leadership of An Khe Ward Trade Union emphasized that Workers' Month 2026 takes place at a time with many important historical milestones of the country such as the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South, national reunification, 140th anniversary of International Labor Day and 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.
This is an opportunity to honor the contributions of the working class, affirming the role of the trade union organization in caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
After the merger from July 2025 to now, An Khe Ward Trade Union currently has over 2,800 union members operating in 54 grassroots trade unions. Under the leadership of the Party Committee, the direction of the City Labor Federation, and the coordination of local authorities and related units, the Ward Trade Union has implemented many practical activities to care for and support union members and workers.
In Workers' Month 2026, the Ward Trade Union focused on implementing many meaningful activities such as supporting the repair of "Trade Union Shelter" for 1 union member with an amount of 40 million VND; giving gifts to support 72 union members in difficult circumstances with a total value of 42 million VND.
An Khe Ward Trade Union established 8 new grassroots trade unions, developing nearly 1,100 union members; guiding businesses to sign collective labor agreements; coordinating to inspect the implementation of labor laws, social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance at 12 businesses to protect the legitimate rights of workers.
At the conference, the Ward Trade Union presented gifts to support union members in difficult circumstances and organized health care training for union members and workers.
Through activities in response to Workers' Month 2026, An Khe Ward Trade Union continues to affirm its role as a reliable support for union members and workers; at the same time, creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere, encouraging workers, civil servants, and laborers to promote the spirit of responsibility, creative labor, contributing to building An Khe Ward to be increasingly civilized, peaceful and developed.
