Bai Chay Ward Trade Union was established on July 1, 2025, currently managing 128 grassroots trade unions with 7,670 union members.
Since its establishment, the Ward Trade Union Executive Committee has deployed and guided grassroots trade unions to implement targets in the spirit of the higher-level trade union resolution and the 2023-2028 term resolution of the grassroots trade union.
Activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of union members are focused on through annual programs such as "Union Tet Market", "Tet Sum Vay", "Worker's Month", "Cultural - Sports Festival of Workers in Quang Ninh Province" and the program "Welfare for union members".
The exercise of the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers is becoming increasingly clear. Every year, 100% of public service units organize conferences for cadres and civil servants; over 70% of non-state enterprises organize conferences for workers; 80% of enterprises sign collective labor agreements with many more beneficial terms for workers. The average salary of direct workers is about 8.2 million VND/person/month.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. To Xuan Thao acknowledged and praised the achievements of the Ward Union in the past time, and suggested that in the coming term, continue to perform well the function of representing and protecting the rights of workers; strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of related policies; promote emulation movements through specific and practical actions.
With the action slogan " Bai Chay Trade Union: Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the congress set out 3 breakthroughs, 8 main tasks and solutions along with specific targets to build a strong, innovative, professional and effective trade union organization; care for and protect workers; contribute to building Bai Chay ward to develop quickly, sustainably, civilly and affectionately.
Specific targets include developing at least 2,000 more union members, 100% of enterprises with 25 or more employees establishing trade unions, 85% of grassroots trade unions applying digital transformation...
The Congress elected 7 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Ward Trade Union, term I, 2025 - 2030; comrade Nguyen Thi Duyen was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Bai Chay Ward Trade Union.
