On the afternoon of May 7, the Trade Union of Dong Ninh Hoa Ward, Khanh Hoa province, said that it had just successfully organized the launching ceremony of the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health and the Workers' Month 2026.
Mr. Huynh Trong Quan - Chairman of Dong Ninh Hoa Ward Trade Union said that this is the first year the unit has implemented activities to respond to Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health since its establishment.
Currently, there are 26 grassroots trade unions in the area. In May, the Ward Trade Union coordinated to organize many practical activities such as visiting and giving gifts to union members in difficult circumstances; and at the same time promote propaganda and raise workers' awareness of labor safety in production.
Occupational safety and hygiene is identified as a key task. Units and businesses are required to raise awareness of complying with safe working procedures, proactively preventing risks, limiting labor accidents and occupational diseases, towards a sustainable working environment.
At the launching ceremony, Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Thuy - Chairwoman of the Grassroots Trade Union of Australis Vietnam Seafood Co., Ltd. - emphasized two key themes including: "Innovating management and improving the efficiency of occupational safety and health in the digital age" and "Vietnamese workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity".
Responding to activities in May, the grassroots Trade Union called on union members to constantly study and improve their professional qualifications, professional skills, especially digital skills and labor discipline awareness.
The movement "Good labor, creative labor" continues to be promoted, encouraging union members to promote technical innovation initiatives in the working process.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Tran Thi Huong - Vice President of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation emphasized that with the specific characteristics of a locality with many industries such as seafood, mechanics, construction, seaports..., taking care of and protecting the rights of workers is the top task of the Trade Union organization.
For Workers' Month in particular, grassroots trade unions need to strengthen care for the material and spiritual life of union members; implement support policies such as "Trade Union Homes", "Trade Union Meals"...
Coordinate to organize cultural and sports activities, launch labor and production emulation, and build a green, clean, and beautiful working environment.
