On October 14, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor announced that the Executive Committee of the Hai Binh Ward Trade Union had just solemnly held the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030.
Attending and directing the Congress were comrade Le Khac Binh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Work Committee; comrade Duong Thi Hang - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hai Binh Ward Party Committee, leaders of departments, branches, unions and 108 delegates representing 1,631 union members and workers in the area.
Hai Binh Ward Trade Union was established on July 1, 2025 under Decision No. 696/QD-LDLD of the Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, with 20 affiliated grassroots trade unions. Immediately after its establishment, the ward union quickly stabilized its organization, perfected the apparatus and implemented many practical activities, caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of union members and workers.
In recent times, the ward union has focused on propaganda, mobilization, creating consensus and cohesion between grassroots unions; coordinating with the government and mass organizations to organize many cultural and social activities, contributing to building an increasingly better union member's life.
Speaking at the congress, comrade Le Khac Binh and comrade Duong Thi Hang acknowledged and praised the initial results of the Hai Binh Ward Trade Union, and at the same time suggested that in the coming term, it is necessary to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; perform well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members; promote the spirit of democracy, solidarity, and build an increasingly strong trade union organization.
At the Congress, the Hai Binh Ward Trade Union announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, the Inspection Committee and key positions. Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Hai Binh Ward Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term.
