On the morning of October 6, the Hai Chau Ward Trade Union held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term with the participation of 159 delegates representing more than 9,000 union members of 185 grassroots trade unions directly managed.
During the past term, the Hai Chau Ward Trade Union has effectively promoted its role as a representative, caregiver and defender of the legitimate and legal rights of union members and workers, thereby affirming its position as a solid bridge between workers and local Party committees and authorities.
After implementing the two-level local government, the Ward Trade Union held a ceremony to announce the decision to establish and launch the Executive Committee; held a meeting with the grassroots trade union to grasp the situation of activities, deploy tasks for the last 6 months of the year, guide the change of seals, and at the same time support the development of operating regulations, internal spending regulations, and organize Executive Committee activities according to regulations.
The Standing Committee of the Hai Chau Ward Trade Union organizes the program "Union united - accompanied workers" in which 40 gifts are supported for union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a budget of 40 million VND.
Coordinate with the Trade Union Working Committee to survey and support "Union Shelter" for 6 union members, including 4 construction cases and 2 repair cases with a total cost of 240 million VND.
The facility organizes many exciting activities such as: Union meals, giving support to union members in difficult circumstances, visiting red addresses, visiting policy families, families with meritorious services to the revolution... creating a vibrant atmosphere among union members and workers.
The ward union has organized training sessions and disseminated information about social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance regimes to nearly 100 union members and workers. At the same time, more than 100 grassroots union officials were also trained in skills in applying artificial intelligence (AI), ChatGPT tools and the online learning platform for digital medicine in union activities.
Entering the 2025 - 2030 term, Hai Chau Ward Trade Union will implement 3 breakthrough programs. The focus is on the program to improve the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining, aiming to build a team of union officials with a deep understanding of labor law, while increasing the rate of signing collective labor agreements with more favorable terms for employees.
Also at the congress, the City Labor Federation announced the decision to appoint the Hai Chau Ward Trade Union Executive Committee with 15 members. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Ward Trade Union.
