Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City - Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet has just signed a series of decisions, perfecting the apparatus, changing the name, assigning functions and tasks to many agencies and units to suit the new administrative unit after the merger.
In particular, the Chairman of the City issued Decision No. 26/2025/QD-UBND stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Da Nang Market Management Department. The Department is under the Department of Industry and Trade, responsible for preventing, combating, and handling violations of smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, banned goods, and trade fraud. The decision takes effect from September 3, 2025, replacing Decision No. 31/2025/QD-UBND.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee also signed Decision No. 27/2025/QD-UBND on the Center for Supporting People with Revolutionary Merits. The center is under the Department of Home Affairs, with the function of receiving, caring for, and caring for war invalids, sick soldiers, people with revolutionary contributions and their relatives. The center has two locations on Phan Tu Street, Ngu Hanh Son Ward and An Duong Vuong Street, Hoi An Tay Ward. The decision takes effect from September 3, 2025, abolishing Decision No. 33/2025/QD-UBND.
The City People's Committee also renamed the Center for Natural Resources, Environment and Agricultural Data Management into the Center for Agricultural and Environmental Data Management (Decision No. 1308/QD-UBND). This center is under the Department of Agriculture and Environment, operating under the new name from September 3, 2025.
The Cu Lao Cham Marine Reserve Management Board was reorganized into the Cu Lao Cham Nature Reserve Management Board (Decision No. 1309/QD-UBND). This unit is under the Department of Agriculture and Environment, with the function of managing, preserving biodiversity, developing eco-tourism in Cu Lao Cham and Cu Lao Cham World Biosphere Reserve - Hoi An.
The Quang Nam Protective Forest Management Board was renamed the Da Nang Protective Forest Management Board (Decision No. 1310/QD-UBND). This unit is under the Department of Agriculture and Environment, headquartered at 100 Hung Vuong, Tam Ky Ward.
The Management Board of Tho Quang Da Nang Fishing Wharf and Port was reorganized into the Management Board of Da Nang Fishing Wharf and Port (Decision No. 1311/QD-UBND). The unit under the Department of Agriculture and Environment has the function of managing and operating anchorage areas, storm shelters, fishing ports and seafood wholesale markets. The head office is located at 18-20 Van Don, Son Tra ward.
These changes and restructuring of the apparatus aims to match the scale, organization and name of Da Nang City after the merger, while aiming for more effective and sustainable management.
