News from Hai Chau Ward Trade Union, Da Nang city on July 25 said: towards the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union and the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, Hai Chau Ward Trade Union organizes a journey to the origin program, offering incense at historical sites and visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the city.
The working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung - Chairman of Hai Chau Ward Trade Union, came to offer flowers and incense at many typical red addresses such as 2/9 Memorial, Phuoc Ninh Cemetery, Dien Hai Citadel Special National Relic, Mother Nhu National Historical Relic Area and Hai Chau Village communal house.
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegates respectfully observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs, expressing deep gratitude to those who bravely sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and defense of the Fatherland.
Continuing the journey of gratitude, the Standing Committee of Hai Chau Ward Trade Union and members of the delegation visited and presented gifts to 5 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and some policy families in the area.
At the families, the delegation cordially inquired about the health and daily life of the Mothers, and at the same time expressed deep gratitude for the great sacrifices and contributions of the Mothers to the revolutionary cause and national independence.
Sharing at the meetings, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung affirmed that the work of caring for and supporting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and people with meritorious services to the revolution has always been identified by the Hai Chau Ward Trade Union as responsibility and affection, and is maintained regularly to contribute to spreading the tradition of "Drinking water, remembering the source", "Gratitude" among union members and workers.
The gifts presented, although not of great material value, contained the feelings, concern and gratitude of the Trade Union organization to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and policy families.
The activity not only contributes to encouraging Mothers to live happily and healthily, but also educates patriotism, fosters revolutionary ideals, and raises the sense of responsibility of officials and union members in preserving and promoting the historical and traditional values of the nation.
