Newly established 4 grassroots trade unions in July
Towards the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Lien Chieu Ward Trade Union, Da Nang city has been and is implementing synchronously many solutions to promote union member development and establish grassroots trade unions.
With efforts, determination and innovation in approach methods, right in July 2026, the Lien Chieu Ward Trade Union mobilized and established 4 new grassroots trade unions at businesses in the area, including: Con Ong Distribution Joint Stock Company, Tien Tien Material Development Co., Ltd., Hoa Hung Medical Supplies and Equipment Trading Co., Ltd., Kim Tin Da Nang Joint Stock Company.
This result was achieved thanks to the transformation of the movement method towards "from the bottom up", standing side by side with workers, taking the initiative of the collective of workers as the root.
Along with that, the Ward Trade Union directly met with the boards of directors of enterprises, widely propagating the dual benefits: Enterprises stabilize and develop when there is a Trade Union organization accompanying them and workers are better protected.
Mr. Le Trong Nguyen - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation, Party Committee member, Chairman of Lien Chieu Ward Trade Union affirmed that the establishment of trade union organizations at enterprises is of great significance in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
To ensure that 4 newly established grassroots trade unions and other grassroots trade unions assigned to the City Labor Federation to manage operate effectively, the Lien Chieu Ward Trade Union pays special attention to training and capacity building for trade union officials at enterprises.
Faced with great work pressure and a limited number of full-time officials, the Lien Chieu Ward Trade Union advocates: Innovating training and fostering work with the motto of being practical, concise, and going straight to the skills that grassroots trade union officials need.
At the same time, minimize cumbersome administrative procedures, focus resources on grassroots levels, promptly resolve problems arising right at the enterprise; train Trade Union officials with intelligence, bravery, enthusiasm and prestige to truly be a reliable support for workers.
Improving care quality
According to Mr. Le Trong Nguyen, to attract workers to voluntarily participate in the Trade Union organization, the Lien Chieu Ward Trade Union always focuses on innovating and improving the quality of activities to care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
Activities imbued with humanistic imprints continue to be maintained and promoted such as: Supporting union members and workers in difficult circumstances, the "Trade Union Shelter" house construction and repair support program, awarding scholarships to children of union members who overcome difficulties and study well, or the warm and meaningful "Tet Sum vay" program...
This practical companionship not only helps workers overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives, but also affirms the role and indispensable position of the Vietnam Trade Union organization at the grassroots level.
In the coming time, Lien Chieu Ward Trade Union will continue to coordinate the implementation of long-term welfare benefits, supporting workers to access preferential loan capital sources to develop the family economy and improve the quality of life.
