Mong Cai 1 Ward Trade Union currently has 73 grassroots trade unions with 6,327 union members (accounting for 98.04% of the total number of employees).
During the past term, the work of caring for the lives of union members and workers has been promoted through the programs "Tet Sum Vay", "Worker's Month", "Union Shelter", "Union Meal"...
Every year, trade unions at all levels have visited and presented gifts to more than 3,500 employees, with a support level of 500,0002,000,000 VND/person; arranged shuttle buses for over 1,600 workers far from home to return home for Tet, with a total cost of nearly 1.5 billion VND. Notably, the Ward Union coordinated with Ngan Long Science and Technology Co., Ltd. and Khanh Nghiep Vietnam Textile Dyeing Co., Ltd. Branch to organize a "Union Meal" for 2,500 workers, worth 125 million VND from the grassroots union fund.
During the 2025-2030 term, Mong Cai 1 Ward Labor Union has determined its consistent goal of continuing to innovate the content and methods of operation; strengthening supervision and social criticism; protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers; at the same time, implementing "skillful mass mobilization" models associated with local development tasks.
Three breakthroughs are identified including: Concentrating resources to effectively carry out the task of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
Build a team of intellectual, courageous, dedicated and prestigious union officials. Innovating methods of operation, promoting digital transformation, building digital trade unions, applying artificial intelligence in task implementation.
Specific targets are set: 100% of enterprises with 20 or more employees establish trade unions; 85% of workers are propagandized and disseminated the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws; 90% of enterprises have collective labor agreements; annually introduce at least 3 outstanding union members for the Party to consider, train and admit.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Ho Quang Huy, Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Ward People's Council, praised the efforts and contributions of trade unions at all levels, union members and workers in the past time. Propose that the Ward Trade Union continue to launch a patriotic emulation movement, build a team of brave and responsible union cadres, close to the people, close to the people, speaking and working; closely coordinate with the government, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations to successfully implement the Resolution of the 1st Mong Cai Ward Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
The Congress also announced the decisions of the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor to appoint the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee, Chairman, and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of Mong Cai 1 Ward Trade Union, term I, 2025-2030. Mr. Tran Huu Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee, was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Mong Cai 1 Ward Trade Union, term 2025-2030.
