Ward Trade Union stands side by side with the grassroots
On the afternoon of October 20, Nha Trang Ward Trade Union held the 1st Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030.
This is the Congress chosen by the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor (KFF) as a point congress for the trade union bloc of communes, wards and special zones.
Implementing the 2-level local government model, from July 1, 2025, Nha Trang ward will be established on the basis of merging 5 wards including: Tan Tien, Van Thanh, Phuoc Hoa, Loc Tho, Vinh Nguyen.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor has issued a decision to establish Nha Trang Ward Trade Union under the Provincial Federation of Labor with 168 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) and 14,837 union members/29,494 workers.
The Ward Trade Union Executive Committee consists of 15 members. Of which, 12 members are representatives of grassroots unions in the ward.
After establishment, Nha Trang Ward Trade Union has developed operating regulations, assigned tasks and operating programs.
Nha Trang Ward Trade Union also focuses on guiding grassroots unions in the ward to change seals according to regulations, answering questions from union members and workers.
The ward union also actively coordinates with local authorities to implement patriotic emulation movements, propagate the two-level government model, the digital education movement for Binh Dan to union members.
At the first Nha Trang Ward Trade Union Congress, Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee consisting of 13 people, the Standing Committee, the Inspection Committee and key positions.
Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Phuong - Vice Chairman of the Nha Trang Ward Fatherland Front Committee was appointed as Chairwoman of the Nha Trang Ward Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term.

Striving to admit 50% of informal sector workers into the union
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Liem - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, Nha Trang Ward Trade Union Congress is a political event of special significance, marking the first term of the Ward Trade Union after reorganizing administrative units and implementing the two-level local government model.
The Congress conveyed the confidence, expectations and pioneering responsibility of the Ward Union, opening a new period of innovation, associated with the double-digit growth target.
In addition to implementing the key tasks of the trade union organization, Mr. Liem suggested that the ward trade union needs to innovate the operating model in an open, flexible and dynamic direction, while piloting a number of new models to attract and gather union members and workers.
Based on receiving comments from cadres, union members and workers, the Nha Trang Ward Trade Union Congress passed a resolution with targets to strive for in the next 5 years.
Determining that it is the central ward of the province, with many potentials and advantages but also facing many challenges, Nha Trang Ward Trade Union takes the grassroots as the main operating area, takes union members and workers as the center of mobilization and the activity target.
In the 2025-2030 term, the Ward Trade Union strives to develop union members to 85% of the total number of existing workers; 100% of enterprises and public service units with 20 or more workers establish grassroots unions; admit 50% of informal sector workers to the Trade Union.
The Congress also set a target of striving for at least 80% of enterprises with trade unions to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements.
