Chairman of the Rach Gia Ward Trade Union Truong Thanh Kien shared that currently, 116 grassroots trade unions with 7,349 union members under the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor have been transferred to the Rach Gia Ward Trade Union for management, starting from August 27, 2025. Ward trade unions are a new model, facing great opportunities and challenges, requiring trade unions to actively innovate the content and methods of operation with practical and effective emulation movements towards workers.
Mr. Kien said that from now until the end of the year, he will focus on key tasks such as propaganda and education for union members, workers, civil servants and laborers (CNVCLD) to grasp the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, and the functions and tasks of the Trade Union organization. Thereby helping them correctly perceive the opportunities, difficulties and challenges in current conditions, enhancing their sense of responsibility in practicing moral qualities and a sense of discipline.

Grasp the ideological developments of union members and employees, propose remedial measures to contribute to social stability. thoroughly grasp the Party's Resolutions, the State's legal policies, the programs and plans of the Party Committee and the higher-level Trade Union, mobilize union members and employees to continue implementing Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on "promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's moral and stylistic ideology".
Improve the quality of participation in developing policies and laws directly related to union members and employees and promote participation in inspection, supervision and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees.
Guide and support grassroots trade unions in negotiating, signing and supervising the implementation of collective labor agreements and dialogues at the workplace. Coordinate with competent authorities to resolve violations of policies and regimes related to union members and employees. Participating in inspecting and supervising the implementation of the Labor Code and compliance with the law in the labor sector for units and enterprises in the ward.
Promote the development of union members, establish a union organization, and build a strong grassroots union. Organize patriotic emulation movements among union members and employees, focusing on emulation movements "Good workers", "Creative workers" Develop and improve the quality of movements "Good at public work, good at home work".
Timely advise and guide union members and employees in implementing policies and regimes related to the rights and interests of employees; resolve and participate in resolving complaints and denunciations of union members and employees.
"The Executive Committee will promote a sense of responsibility, innovate thinking and creativity in working methods so that union activities can truly spread, attracting a large number of union members, workers, civil servants and laborers (CNVCLD) to participate, contributing to improving the lives and spirit of local workers," Mr. Kien shared.
